Mike asked me to create a website that was a bit more flashy than the free Google My Business website that he originally had.

I found a plugin that I had not used before – Widgets for Google Reviews by To be honest, I am pretty impressed with the options you get in the free version. 

North Photography

Marta asked me to design a website to showcase her photography business. makes use of Smart Slider 3 for the slide show on the homepage and Modula for the galleries.

The photographs are stunning!

David O'Connor

David asked me to overhaul his website with a new clean look in white and pale greys. Having reviewed a wide range of gallery plug-ins, I found the Pro Gallery from Elementor best suited to David’s exacting requirements.

Elementor’s lightbox was modified with bespoke CSS to deliver the super-clean look to the images.

Forgeries Online

Robin had a 10-year old eCommerce website which basically didn’t work. He wanted a site of a similar look and feel developed in WordPress without the bugs of his old site – A site that he could maintain going forward and strengthen his blacksmith’s business.

Judy Scott Consultancy

Judy had a website on using an unresponsive theme that was no longer supported. She wanted the website to look good on a mobile, but there were no similar themes available on the platform. Many other web designers had attempted to assist to no avail.

I migrated her website to a site and tailored a responsive theme to meet her exact requirements,. 

Tanya Hinton wild-wood art!

Tanya’s website includes custom galleries, a 360 degree studio tour, integrations with PayPal, and best of all, you get to see Tanya’s art in progress via video clips.

Wylye Valley Art Trail 2021

The website provides a showcase for the Wylye Valley Art Trail 2021. It includes 49 pages of art venues with extensive menu indexing and search facilities.

The website makes use of dynamic menu items and a swipe mode on mobile devices allowing the user to easily navigate forwards and backwards through the trail.

It also includes extensive integration with Google Maps.

Michael Heaton - Archaeologist

The brief from Michael was to keep it simple. He wanted a single page site with a hosting company that would not accept WordPress. That does not mean I could not use WordPress to create the site. By making use of Simply Static I was able to export the site as static files, which I could upload onto the server. 

It also means the site is lightening-quick.

DSB Builders Ltd

DSB Builders Ltd is a family-run building firm based in Maiden Bradley. They wanted a website to showcase the quality and diversity of their work.

The website makes use of the Crelly Slider Plugin to display groups of photos fading into each other. 

Dynamic Equilibrium

Dynamic Equilibrium is an Acupuncture Clinic based in Warminster.

The website uses the OceanWP WordPress theme and Elementor page builder with a custom header.

Stephen's Voice

Steve Ryder, a British voiceover artist, had a website for many years which was not maintained and not drawing in any business. 

It now has a fresh look with an active blog.

Mike Palmer Driving School

This was the site that inspired me to get involved in website design. It consistently ranks at or near the top of google searches for local driving instructors and pulls in more than enough business.

Wessex Association of Driving Schools

Wessex Association of Driving Schools is a group of Driving Instructors covering a region on the Wiltshire – Somerset border including Trowbridge, Westbury, Warminster, Melksham, Devizes and Frome.

The website includes an extensive “members only” section with lots of useful information pertinent to the members.
